CD „Wheel of Life“
Julian Hesse, trumpeter and composer from Munich/Germany, has released a Jazz album which was largely inspired by the works of Fritz Kahn. It is entitled “Wheel of Life”, was recorded in conjunction with pianist Stephan Plecher and issued by the label HGBS Blue on June 19, 2020. The CD artwork – inspired by Kahn as well – was delivered by designer Konstantin Kern.
The Süddeutsche Zeitung wrote: “A splendid duo. (…) Always surprising, virtuosic and despite the minimalistic duet anstonishingly lyric.” The Bavarian radio broadcast judged: “A subtle and adorable lively music in a chamber music duo format.”
