“The Cold gaze – Germany in the 1920s” is a sweeping journey through the roaring and explosive arts and cultural life of the 1920s Weimar Republik. At the center is the significant movement of Neue Sachlichkeit and its sober, harsh realism. The original poster “Der Mensch als Industriepalast” (1926) by Fritz Kahn is among the artworks which have been thoughtfully compiled by the curators. The exhibition at the Danish Louisiana Museum of Modern Art – located 35 km north of Copenhagen – is organized in collaboration with Centre Pompidou, Paris, where it has been presented before. The show opens on October 14, 2022, and ends on February 2, 2023.
